  • Reasons for Fasting

Nerve damage resulting from poisoning which took place 2 months ago. Since that time I avoid all substances which could have a bad effect on the nerves, but recovery is very slow. Mostly affected are the nerves in the right side of the face, which led to: hazy vision, mumbling, incoherent thought.

  • Past Fasting Experience

I once did a water fast after which the reflux and irritable bowel syndrome was healed permanently. It also healed my neck-pain, but not permanently. The neck-pain came back some time after fasting.

  • Present Diet

Juices from beet-root, apple, carrot, potato, garlic, spinach, broccoli, ginger. Supplements : lecithine, L-ornithine, cod liver. I also use an infra red lamp on the affected part of the body.

  • Relevant Medical History

    Reflux and irritable bowel syndrome.

  • Present Medical Problems

Nerve damage. Back-pain and neck-pain. Loss of energy and well being.

  • State of Mind

Anxious whether the nerve damage will heal.

    HI Meals,
To me a 30 day juice fasting is first thing I do for any significant health problem. The body has such an amazing capacity to heal. I also find that the healing is more indepth than water fasting and provide. You could as some essential oils to that list.

Hi Tom. Thank you for the uplifting words. It means a lot to me, as this is not an easy time for me. Also, thank you for the excellent work on this website. I think it will help a lot of people. What essential oils would you recommend?

I just woke up on day 6 of my intended 30 day juice fast. I can’t really put a finger on it, but something is definitely happening.

Neck and backpain: faintly present in the background.
Pain around right eye: alternating dull and stinging pain, not very strong
    Vision: almost normal
Lisping: some lisping is left and speech is somewhat difficult still as the words don’t always come out right.
Mood: what can I say… Its been almost 3 months since I felt normal.

Day 8 of the fast. I had some miso soup lately with a little bit of green onion and tofu. My neck pain increased a bit – it could be due to the salt in the miso or to a drop in temperature outside. It seems that miso is not the best idea – I will stick with juices for now.
There is progress as far as the face nerves are concerned. The lisping decreased. The stinging pain in the eye increased. I think its part of the healing process.Vision is slightly blurred.
Mood: very mediocre, partly caused by pain.

Overall I have the idea that the situation is improving, but its a slow process.
