Fasting for Eczema – Cyclosporine

I am 41yrs young, 315-325lbs give or take,5″6 and ready to move to my next phase in life. All my life I have had eczema but it never got really bad, until 2006 out of nowhere, I just started itching nonstop like crazy so I changed my eating habits and lost some weight but the itching persisted and even got worst. I was treated for scabies, yeast, eczema and everthing else u could name. I thought I had bugs under my skin, the itching would not go away. I became paranoid and moved from NY to FL, nochange so from FL to NC. lived in NC for a year while being offered psych meds(which I turned down) bled through my clothes, never slept, cried and the worst was no one thought I was for real. I met a Dr. last Aug 2009, who listened to me and figured it out right then and there. My immune system is attacking my skin cells. Was given cyclosporine modified and in 1 day the itch had slowed and 3 days later it was gone. Now I am enrolled back in college for my education degree and now I am able to play with my children. It is time for my body and mind to catch up to living. Can I fast while on cyclosporine modified?

RESPONSE: Yes, you can juice fast on cyclosporine. That is one amazing drug.
Using juice fasting is your best option. Your first step is to read and learn as much as you can on the science of fasting and fill out a progress report. Buy a juicer and find a enema.

Did the Dr. determine the type of eczema you had? I am wondering if juice fasting with cyclosporine would be the most effective treatment to achieve total recovery and what are its limitations. Have you had more colds or heal slower during usage of cyclosporine? Is seems safe as it is a unique protein molecule.

Background info Ciclosporin

Ciclosporin (INN, pronounced /ˌsaɪklɵˈspɔərɨn/), cyclosporine (USAN), cyclosporin (former BAN) or cyclosporin A, is an immunosuppressant drug widely used in post-allogeneic organ transplant to reduce the activity of the patient’s immune system and, so, the risk of organ rejection. It has been studied in transplants of skin, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, bone marrow, and small intestine. Initially isolated from a Norwegian soil sample, ciclosporin is a cyclic nonribosomal peptide of 11 amino acids produced by the fungus Beauveria nivea, and contains a single D-amino acid, which are rarely encountered in nature.[1]

Apart from in transplant medicine, ciclosporin is also used in psoriasis, severe atopic dermatitis, pyoderma gangrenosum, chronic autoimmune urticaria, and, infrequently, in rheumatoid arthritis and related diseases, although it is only used in severe cases.

first of all tom thank you for getting back to me. cyclospprine is an amazing drug and it did save my life , for real. i have done my homework on cyclosporine last year. I have an appointment with my Dr. 5/17 and will keep you posted. Kidney and liver function is what they worry about but in my case (my body never follows protocol.. lol) it was my blood pressure that kept shooting up. i never had high blood pressure. I am monitored every month since i started on this med. The Dr. has tried to see if my immune system would jump start and because they were worried about my bp i was weened off for a month. It was horrible, didnt work and now i take it every other day(so far so good). I have ordered my juicer today and looking for a good emema. Did i mention i was a vegan last year for 6 months and i felt great. Should i start eating raw veggies while waiting for my juicer, i am so amped and ready to start something now.

oh i forgot to answer the rest of your question. Funny thing is i have not had any colds or illness since cyclosporine. Sometimes i itch but not that bad and when i do, i use my creams and itch pills. i used to use this stuff all day everyday without results, now i use it about 1-2x a week. Since i moved to nc i have been getting 3-4 boils every month, my family gets them a little less but a dr. out here said there is a high incidence of that down here. I am moving back to nyc in june of this year and will follow up out there. When i was really sick I was given antibiotcs all the x and now when i take it after 2 days my whole body breaks out in yeast. that is a horrible feeling.

my Dermatologist said it was ok to juice as long as i don’t do grapefruit as it will increase the effects of cyclosporine(already knew that 1 though)lol….so happy still waiting for that juicer.
