  • Doing 30 days of Juice Fasting. Starting January 18, 2011

  • Reasons for Fasting:
To develop a good eating habit. I have been an emotional eater as long as I can remember... I have tried everything I know how to do and for the past months I came across this website and I finally believe this will help me out, this is my last solution ...I also expect to loose weight along the way

  • Past Fasting Experience:
Partial fasts but not on a regular basics

  • Present Diet:
Don't even go there, none at all... eat whatever depending on which side of the bed I wake up on.

  • State of Mind:
Am so determined, I have tried all things and fasting is my last result. I have doubts that I may not complete 30 days

  • Limitations:
Myself : old habits die hard but they surely die!

  • Questions:
This is my first juice fasting, I am learning to take advice of those who have been there, is a 30 days juice fasting unrealistic? Also am somehow skeptical of my energy level during the fast, I work full time and go to school as well. Please advise , any tips will be greatly appreciated. Oh I am planning to buy vegetable juice in the can, is that safe ( I have no time to make it fresh).

I just started my first juice fast yesterday. I found this site and read all day. It seems to me that its very doable. Im pretty excited to find so many people doing this. I hope it all goes well. Are you going any specific juices?

I have been reading as much as my mind can grasp on this website as well.
Well, I was planning to drink vegetable v8 juices all the way but after reading couple articles on this website and also hearing from Ron ; it seems like my plan won’t work if I want to get the best out of this fast. I am planning to buy a juicer and try ll kinds of juices! I also plan to buy some of the books I saw here on this website for recipes and for more information… I am realizing how clueless I am when it comes to fasting

You can easily go to school and juice fast. We there are 4 of us here fasting at the retreat in Sagada and I have to work and research every day. I get a bit tired some days and on others feel energetic and clear minded.

    Day 1 and Day 2:

Day 1: went okay, although I ate an apple before going to bed… I was not hungry but it is a bad habit of eating before I go to bed

Day 2: I am doing well, ok I ate about 12 almonds… I figured I need to be honest, if I lie I will be lying to myself. To my surprise my weight this morning was 165lbs!

I plan to follow through completely tomorrow and buy a juicer over the weekend. A friend of mine is joining me to keep me accountable for the next 3 days.

I am also doing this fast for spiritual reasons but I will only be talking about my health progress.

Hi AT, Fasting is a wonderful benefit our Lord has given us to help our minds, bodies and spirits! It is also a great sacrifice to offer back to Him! Many prayers are answered when fasting!!

Enjoy your fast! Customize it to your lifestyle. That way it will be easier for you. 3 day fasts are a great way to start out. Then a week, or longer! After a while you will be a pro! God Bless, and I’ll keep you, and the other fasters in my prayers! Ron

      • AboutTime says:

Ron, I should have followed your advice… I messed it up after day 4 and oh the devil and all his friends almost got me into a guilt zone but thank God for his redeeming love.
I am currently 164lbs … I plan to get back on it this weekend… this time I will be going for 7 days only.

    Day 3 and Day 4

For the past two days it was easier, I had only water and herbal tea.
Weight on day 4 was 162lbs. Question: Which enema should I use?

  6. Ron says:
    Ron

Hi AT, No problem! There is always your next fast. 3 days is an accomplishment! Most people starting out never make it thru a day!! Use the water and sea salt enemas to start. Use warm distilled water and 2 tablespoons of sea salt. After you get used to them, you can try the coffee enemas which help cleanse the digestive organs.

    • AboutTime says:

Thanks Ron, I appreciate the quick response and advice.
Oh Lord have mercy! “Sea Salt Flush”…I can not even explain the taste of it (it works though).
I will have to google the coffee enemas, I can not see myself drinking this thing again. It’s a punishment … I did not do 7 days I want to master 3 days of just juice and nothing else. Today until Thursday I will be doing juice fasting again.

  7. AboutTime says:

    DAY 1:
Okay today went okay, I did sea salt flush (yaki yaki yaki).
I was doing so great until 30 mins ago, someone gave me 3 cookies, I ate two and threw the third one in a trash which was so empowering.
I plan to keep going on until tomorrow as Ron says “I CONTROL MY FAST, IT DOESN’T CONTROL ME”.
Looking forward for Day 2, one thing I am realizing is that the more I check on this website the more I stick to my goals. For the next 7 days my goal is to post daily on this website.
    I also run/walk a mile today
