Amber Lawrence, 24 years old female, weighing 90 kg / 198 lbs, 68 in /172.72 cm tall, United States US
Doing 14 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting February 14, 2011
Reasons for Fasting:
I am a mother of 2, a nursing student and a homemaker. I am always tried and really lack the energy that I crave. For the last two years since I had my daughter I have been unable to lose any weight. I exercise a minimum of 5 times a week and eat pretty healthy. I really want to lose the weight because not only do heart problems run in my family but so far my mother and I are the only adults left that do not have type II diabetes. I hoping with this fast to be able to heal old bone injuries, Skin issues and weight loss, thyroid issues and prevent future health issues.Past Fasting Experience:
fasted when I was a teen and struggled w/ depression and bipolar haven't had any mood issues since.Present Diet:
I get a low fat/meat, high fruit/veggie meals, we try to make everything from scratch and as natural as possible.Supplements:
L-lysine, B complex, omega 3, daily vitaminPresent Medication or Drug Usage:
noneState of Mind:
So far I am feeling pretty good. At first I was really tired and lacking the energy I need to get to class and teach my son his class. Though as the day has progressed I am starting to feel better.Questions:
What tea's can I drink when on a fast? I was told to stay away from ones with caffeine so that rules out Green teas. Any recommendations. I am using honey or un-processed organic cane sugar to sweeten my tea. should I be using something else. This first fast is only two weeks but I am hoping to do another one how soon after my first fast can I go on my next one? hoping to do a 30 day one for my next fast I do not have a juicer nor can I afford one so I am using teas fresh, bottled juice, and homemade lemon aid and orange juice. I was wondering about drinking fresh made broth either veggie or chicken with the fat skimmed off? would I be able to drink this during a fast or should I stay away from it? If so can I season it with garlic at all or should it be unseasoned?
