  • Doing 7 days of Juice Fasting. Starting March 26, 2011

  • Reasons for Fasting:
    Physical and spiritual.

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    Several short juice fasts of 3 days.

  • Present Diet:
    Vegetarian with some raw foods but intermittent/weekly binging on junk foods like fries and snacks. WAY too much red wine!

  • Supplements:
    I might take Vitamin E, B, Zinc and apple cider vinegar during the fast but generally don't take supplements.

  • Relevant Medical History:
    N'/a

  • Present Medication or Drug Usage:
    None - I don't take pharmaceuticals

  • State of Mind:
    Generally not happy about things. Skeptical about possibility of change (despair?) Spikes of extreme anger. Generally "Couldn''t be bother"

  • Limitations:
    Work - from the time I leave the house to the time I return from work it's 12 full hours. I also work in a high pressure environment that is emotionally charged. I'm a little concerned about being able to handle the long days and emotional demands while fasting.

  • Questions:
    I have tended to hypoglycemia before so i'm a little concerned I might get the shakes and be unable to work properly.....um, but I guess i'm in such a bad state right now anything is probably better! If I decide to go longer on the fast, assuming I last for 7 days, should continue or take a break and start again?
