kali: 30 days of Juice/Water Fasting

  • Doing 30 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting November 23, 2010

  • Reasons for Fasting:
    I want my life to move on and up. I want to start fasting to clean my mind and body from all the dirt that does not let me be happy.

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    Many times one day fasting, some times 3-4 days and once 7 days water fasting only. I felt great.

  • Present Diet:
    No meat and soda but everything else in large amounts.

  • Relevant Medical History:
    n/a

  • Present Medical Problems:
    n/a

  • State of Mind:
    Feeling empty in my midsection is great and makes me very hapy and energetic.

  • Limitations:
    Only my weak self and... preparing food for my family.

  • Questions:
    How can I fight the temptations of all the foodthat surrounds me and reach my goal.

    I wish I was under 140! you are my goal weight! I’m water fasting tomorrow. Messed up today..

    Hi Melissa, thank you so much for commenting on my post. I need all the support I can get. I used to be 160 and I lost 30 during the summer. I got a little bit under 130 and that happen because of some fasting and controling my food intake. However, the Winter came and I am gaining again. That makes me very depressed. Let’s support each other.

    hi,
    Juice fasting will feed your body properly and help to control hunger pangs and need for solid food, thus making it much easier to lose weight , have a look at the excellent info on this site about juice fasting. Your need for large amounts of food are a sign that the body is not being fed what it needs, juice fasting will solve all your main problems by feeding your body in the best way possible, and try and use fresh home made juice due to the vast amounts of living enzymes it contains. regards Noor

    Hey Kali, your welcome! I need support too, and sometimes find it depressing not to have it! congrats on losing 30 pounds, I’ve lost that much since summer as well BUT you r right about the winter, and when I go out for my walks I feel like it’s not doing anything because I have to go slow-ish because of ice, and no sweat because it’s freezing!!…makes me wonder if less calories are burnt doing the same thing but not working up any sweat…hmm..
    So I’m water fasting, I realllllly want to be under 150 in two weeks, seems near impossible since that’s a good 20 pounds, but I am trying that’s all I can do. Anxiously awaiting the numbers on the scale to start dropping and get passed day 3…….. days go so much faster then!

    I ate and failed all week until yesterday..
    I do it everytime I’m going into fast mode, fail, fail, fail, success
    Maybe it’s our body getting ready for it.. we know when we must eat and when we must control it!

    Hello Kali. Good luck with your fast. I think you have great weight for your age and high so assuming you are fasting for right reasons. :)
