How do you know when you are in "starvation mode" ?? Can you still do strength training classes while on a fast? Can I drink lipton Green Tea? (it has caffeine in it) How do you make juices? (what kind of fruits and veggies can you use)

Hi Katie
A 40 day water fast with exercise may be a tough as climbing mount everest. Starvation is when your body uses the first healthy cell for fuel. Green tea is find. With a juicer. Read the juicing section of the web site.

I don’t think I’ll be ready for the big step (40day) until the end of year break when I finsh classes… and have some spare time at the parents farm to focus on the Lord alone. I’m doing a three day fast starting tomorrow – Hope you get to the end of this one. If you don’t, never beat urself up. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve tried to do this!

Hey K, I am currently on a 40 day healthy fast , must say I had to alternate my weeks ie one wk did a Raw food then transitioned to water and then juice and then 3 days of Raw food (was losing alot of weight )and now I am back to juice and water till I finsh …its been the best experience this year so far… considering making this health regiem a long term lifestyle.
