End of Day 1
Fought a couple of ‘demons’ already – won’t give them any more time or space. They are gone for now, I’m happy to say. I feel mentally disjointed, physically exhausted, and my face has gone extremely drawn, pale & slightly blotchy. I noticed this because I have just taken the worst, most heinous drivers license photo of my life. The guy at the camera actually had me retake it twice before he gave up!
Physically, I feel the usual burning inside, but maybe a little less than usual at the end of the day, because my system always feels better without solid food. I have just been listening to Tom’s mp3s, and they have cheered me up to the point where I can stay on the road. He’s a light in the dark, that Tom, and I relate to his sense of humor! It is completely different when you hear a voice, one that seems to know what your situation is, and what’s to be done about it. I hope the support team can make more of these mp3 sessions, and every newcomer should listen.
Oh I’m sorry – I have plastered this onto the wrong page – sorry waterfall – how’s it going? Can I ask admin to move this comment to fasting 123 report? Thanks.
I’m not doing so well with my fasting. I’ve restarted as of today!
That’s perfectly normal. It can take a lot of practice to master ingrained habits, and get used to ignoring those first hunger pangs, and the feeling you’re being deprived when others sit down to dinner. I tried a 30 day fast, but in reality I had to start with fasts of one day, then three days, then eventually got past one week. It’s hard, but once you’re used to it, and feel in control, it gets to feel more natural. Whatever you do, don’t watch any tv that involves cooking or food, and if you get a vision or a thought of a particular food you’d really like to have while fasting, banish it immediately, before it takes hold. It’s just a part of your mind trying to control your actions. It is also important on your first attempts at fasting to stay away from cafes and restaurants!!! Hang in there – you can do this.
