Jessi Kingan, 24 years old Female, weighing 67 kg / 147.4 lbs, 68 in /172.72 cm tall, Buddhist. From Ao Nang, Thailand
Doing 7 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting October 24, 2010
Reasons for Fasting:
Weight loss, cleansing, breaking bad food habitsPast Fasting Experience:
14-day Master Cleanse in 2008, 10-day raw fruit & vegetable diet December 2009Present Diet:
Vegan. Just finished 8 days of eating only raw fruits, some vegetables, and soya milk. Have been feeling lethargic and yesterday, after 8 days of fruits and vegetables ate a few slices of fried banana and sweet potato in the morning after a long walk. In the afternoon, after a short bike ride, made a milkshake with raw cashews, raw sugar, soymilk, banana, and a few pieces of dark chocolate. Ate less than half of it an hour before going on a 10-km run and felt like death: wasn't sure whether I wanted to vomit or evacuate my bowels. Took a rest and drank some water and ate a steamed bun filled with vegetables and mushrooms and walked for 20 minutes before continuing the run. Had to stop at a toilet along the way and had explosive diarrhea when I made it home. Felt fine after that. As a result of what I'm viewing as my body's protest to the junk I put into it yesterday, decided to fast for 7-10 days instead of resuming "normal" eating patterns.Present Medical Problems:
Acne. Had it since I was 13. Recently started taking birth control with anti-acne properties to combat it but it doesn't seem to have made a noticeable difference so far (6 weeks).Questions:
Between daily physical activity in the form of running or biking, and just living in a hot climate, I sweat a lot. Do I need to worry about replacing the salts I am losing from this?
